Craig Gallimore is a third generation chef with a passion for food going back to his childhood. His grandfather and father were both chef's along with various other members of his family, and he admits that cooking is in his blood. "To be successful on the culinary stage, I think you have to love the food you cook, and I certainly do. I have worked with some of the best in the trade and have personally enjoyed numerous achievements in national and international competitions."
Craig was UK Seafood Champion three years running, a distinction that has so far not been equalled and is immensely proud to be the first and last UK chef, over 27 years to win the coveted Escoffier Trophy. Craig has also represented his country with the British Culinary World Cup & Olympic Teams, an event that has a phenomenal following worldwide.
Today sees him turning his hand to the most amazing cakes which has won him contracts with prestigious companies such as Aston Martin, Coca Cola and Remy Martin. So why cakes? Craig replies, "Well, my partner loves cakes and I felt there was a gap in the market, so why not?!"
Craig keeps busy with his team working out of an industrial unit in South Kirkby; not just making cakes, but designing, building and welding structures for cakes of up to 5ft.
Visit him at stand number 18 on Wednesday 10th June to see his amazing creations.
